About Us

WAC has been a leading marketing research company since 1972 when it opened its doors in New York city. At that time WAC was a full service company providing both quantitative and qualitative research. Over the years the marketing research industry began to change and clients expected the various research companies to specialize in either quantative or qualitative research-we chose to continue with our strength, qualitative research.

Over a 25 year period, the two principles of the company, Ed Wolf and Ken Altschul, have conducted over 6,000 groups. In addition to conducting groups around the country, WAC's first focus group facility was opened in Manhattan in 1979, expanded in 1984, and expanded once again in 1994.

Encouraged by always being rated among the top facilities in the country in the "impulse survey" we opened our first out of state facility WAC of South Florida, in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1996. Keeping it in the family, Gary Altschul, who had managed and operated our New York facility, moved to Florida and took charge of the new company. Within the first year of operation it too was rated among the top facilities in the country.

Now, more than ten years later, we are expanding once again. This time, we have established ourselves in the Miami area where we are now in a position to cover all of South Florida and able to recruit all of the ethnic, professional, age, income, and occupational groups that make up South Florida---Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties.

WAC is unique in that our facilities are designed based upon the moderating experiences of their owners using facilities around the country as a guide. WAC has built in what is considered positive and carefully eliminated that which was considered negative. In addition, we have added all modern technological advancements.

To summarize, we at WAC consider a focus group facility to be more than four walls. Indeed, the WAC facilities are attractive, pleasing to the eye and each location enjoys:
